发明名称 THERMOELECTROSTATIC INK JET RECORDER
摘要 PURPOSE:To facilitate accurate setting of the spacing between electrodes and enlarge the spacing between an ink flying surface and a recording medium, by providing a flying electrode for applying a flying electric field to an ink, causing the ink to fly from the ink flying surface to the flying electrode, and adhering the ink to the recording medium by an accelerating electrode provided on the reverse side of the recording medium. CONSTITUTION:Heat generating resistors 2 and arranged in an array on a thermal head substrate 1, and an electrode support 9 provided with a slit-shape opening 11 is disposed opposite to an ink thickness setting wall member 7, with a flying electrode 10 provided on the support 9. The flying electrode 10 is an elongate belt shape electrode extending perpendicularly to the surface of a paper. A roll-shape accelerating electrode 13 is provided on the reverse side of a recording medium 12, a pulse power source 14 is connected between a guiding electrode 5 and the flying electrode 10, and a DC power source 15 is connected between the flying electrode 10 and the accelerating electrode 15. The surface of an ink is heated according to an image signal to lower the surface tension, interfacial tension viscosity and electric resistance of the ink, and a flying electric field in generated in an ink flight passage.
