A releasable cylinder tube - cylinder head connection for reciprocating piston engines, especially for reciprocating piston internal combustion engines, is proposed, in which cylinder head (1) and cylinder tube (2) each respectively carry a thread, onto which a common threaded ring (3) is screwed which, pressing the cylinder head onto the cylinder tube by means of a gasket (4) firmly connects it to the latter (Fig. 1). <IMAGE>
