A flexible coupling having an inner sleeve 5 and an outer sleeve 4 wherein the inner sleeve has radially outwardly extending teeth-like projections 7 and wherein the outer sleeve has radially inwardly extending teeth-like projections 8. A resiliently flexible elastomeric compound 6 is moulded in situ between the sleeves 4 and 5 after the areas of the sleeves interfacing with the compound have been pre-treated with a bonding agent. The one sleeve is adapted to be secured to a driving member 2 and the other sleeve to a driven member. The invention also includes within its scope a method of manufacturing a flexible coupling. <IMAGE> |
