发明名称 MANUFACTURE FOR LOW FRICTION PISTON
摘要 PURPOSE:To make mass production for a low friction piston ever so easy, by manufacturing it by means of electroplating, not metalcutting by a cutter, in case of a device which installs three projecting slide parts in a thrust part and a counter-thrust part of a skirt part of a piston. CONSTITUTION:In case of manufacturing a low friction piston 1 installing three projecting slide parts 4-6 each in a thrust part and a counter-thrust part of a skirt part 3, first zincate conversion plating is applied to a piston blank 10. Next, electroless Ni-P plating is applied to the piston blank finishing the said plating and then the piston blank 10 is housed in a plating jig 11 where apertures 12-14 are opened only in part that should come to these projecting slide parts 4-6. And, the whole body of this plating jig 11 is dipped in a plating bathtub 15, and a wear resisting electroplating layer of Fe, Fe-P, Cr, etc., of 20-30mum in thickness is formed in these part where should come to the projecting slide part. Then, the plating jig 11 is taken out of the plating bathtub 15, thus the required piston is finished.
