PURPOSE:To allow the combustion of unburnt char to proceed efficiently after volatilization and combustion when powdery fuel is blown into a blast furnace, by increasing the concn. of oxygen in hot air. CONSTITUTION:This invention is explained with a combustion test furnace. Powdery fuel A is conveyed from a ground hopper 1 to a coal bottle 3 with a screw conveyor 2. The fuel A in the bottle 3 is discharged by a fixed quantity with a fixed quantity feeder 4 under the bottle 3 and is sent to a burner 7 through a transfer pipe 6 together with blown air 5. The concn. of oxygen in hot air obtd. at <1,050 deg.C in a hot stove 8 is increased to >=23vol% and the oxygen enriched hot air is sent from a blast pipe 9 to the combustion test furnace 12 through a blow pipe 10 and a water cooled tuyere 11 after it is accompanied by the powdery fuel. |
