PURPOSE:To forcibly open a locking claw to the outside with a means and to lock a reel without fail by making the connection with the sliding body of the locking claw into the hinge part of a sheet structure and arranging an energizing means on the inside of the locking claw in a reel stopper. CONSTITUTION:In the middle of a pair of reels 5 and 6 of a tape cassette, a reel stopper 32 is arranged, and a rectangular sliding body 33 and a pair of locking claws 34 and 35 provided at the tip part are formed integrally by a synthetic resin for the stopper 32. At the connecting part with the sliding body 33 of both locking claws 34 and 35, hinge parts 36 and 37 of the sheet structure are formed and both locking claws 34 and 35 are freely bent so that the hinge parts 36 and 37 can be a supporting point. Further, at the inside of the tip of the locking claws 34 and 35, locking projections 40 and 41 are formed integrally, and in the inside of the locking claws 34 and 35, a twisting coil spring 42, which is an energizing means, is provided. The locking claws 34 and 35 are forcibly opened to the outside by the spring 42 and the reels 5 and 6 are locked without fail.
