摘要 PURPOSE:To produce a large capacity disk device without adverse effects even when a track interval is made narrower by setting the dislocation quantity between a spindle rotation center and a track center detected from the reading signal of a recording medium to be within an allowable value. CONSTITUTION:An electric clamping mechanism 23 fixes or releases a recording medium 1 to a spindle 4 of a spindle motor 3 to rotate. A control means detects the dislocation quantity between the center of the circuit drawn by a data track on the medium 1 and the rotation center of the medium 1 with a reading signal from the medium 1, in case of the allowable value or above, the fixing condition of the mechanism 23 is released and a re-clamping signal is generated which repeats the action which is the fixing condition again, until the dislocation quantity comes to be within the allowable value. By the re-clamping signal, a driving means operates the mechanism 23, repeats the fixing and releasing of the medium 1 and the dislocation quantity can be set within the allowable value.
