PURPOSE:To confirm the information in the early stage and to enable modification of a document by providing means for performing forcible printing with single color print material irrespective of the color information of print data fed from a host computer to the printer side. CONSTITUTION:A host computer sends the host side data to the printer side, and at the printer side, said data are examined together with a forcible black print command 110 of panel. If the content of the forcible print command 110 of panel is requiring a black print, print data having a color code content other than white are printed by means of a black film. Since the color codes 102, 105 and 108 are not white, all characters 112, 113, 114 are printed by means of a black film onto a form 111. If the content of the forcible black print command 110 is not requiring the black print, the forcible black printing is not executed but the color information sent from the host computer is printed as it is onto the format 111, i.e. the character 112 is printed in yellow, the character 113 is in black and the character 114 is in red. |
