PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of transmission by transmitting data in data blocks obtained by optimum division while mixing>=2 different data. CONSTITUTION:One page of mixed data is divided into clocks 1-8. The page data correspnds to one=page display of a screen of a CRT, corresponds to one-page data at the time of reception. Blocks 1-6 are blocks of character codes and blocks 7, 8 are blocks of bit images.When the character code and the bit image block exist mixedly in a document in this way, many transmission blocks are required. They are collected into blocks 9, 10. The code block corresponding to the block 8 is filled by a space code such as a space or a tab between character codes.The location corresponding to the character code block in the bit image block 10 is filled all by while bits. Thus, the transmission efficiency is improved.
