PURPOSE:To insure information against a read error even if information on a mark area cannot be read correctly, to enable the reading of a data area, and to improve a read ratio and a reliability by recording on the data area the information whose contents are the same as that recorded in the mark area. CONSTITUTION:The surface prescribed part of a card base 11 is provided with a stripe 12 as a data recording area, and the stripe 12 is provided with a reference line 13. Optical data is split into sectors (small data areas) 16 in a matrix shape and is recorded in respective bands 14. The data area 16 consists of plural tracks 17. The mark area (header) 18 is added and an information 19 is recorded in the area 16. A code 20 is added so that the mark 18 is easily identified. In the adequate place (front) of the data area, an information 21 whose contents are the same as the information 19 is recorded in the mark area 18. The information 21 prevents the read error even if the information 19 cannot be read correctly. |
