PURPOSE:To attain a management for a tariff by an individual unit, by collating an inputted password number to a memory circuit, issuing permission for originating call trunk line only when collation is completed, and outputting an address corresponding to the password number to a tariff managing device. CONSTITUTION:At the time of using push-button telephone sets 2a-2n by the user of a telephone, the password allocated to each individual is inputted first to the push-button telephone set, and following that, a prescribed telephone number is inputted. Thereby, a central processing unit 9 collates the personal identification number with a memory circuit 13, and outputs a permission signal to an input-output interface 7 only when a corresponding personal identification number exists. A switch circuit network 4 is operated by the output, and a corresponding push-button telephone set is connected to a trunk line 1 through a sound circuit line 6, and a sound interface circuit 5, then a call is permitted. In this way, by setting the personal identification number different for each individual, it is possible to prevent the telephone from being used by a third party, and also, to perform the management of the tariff by each individual.
