PURPOSE:To simply perform accurate recording even on a different recording medium, by mounting a recording mode change-over means for performing recording by an erected image or a mirror image corresponding to the kind of the recording medium. CONSTITUTION:In the relation between a B.P.F. sheet and a discrimination sensor 35 for discriminating said sheet 42, a bar code 43 is printed on the end part of the B.P.F. sheet 42 and, when said sheet 42 is mounted between feed rollers, the discrimination sensor 35 comprising the optical sensor provided at the position corresponding to the bar code 43 reads the bar code 43 to confirm the B.P.F. sheet. Because no bar code is applied to usual recording paper, the discrimination of the B.P.F. sheet is certainly performed. A B.P.F. sheet recording mode is judged from other mode by judging the output of the discrimination sensor 35 by CPU21 but said mode can be manually changed over by the recording mode change-over key 19 of an operation panel. |
