PURPOSE:To prevent the efficiency of oxygen enrichment from being lowered, by a method wherein when oxygen concentration in a room is lowered to or below a preset concentration, a controller operates an oxygen-enriched air supplying device to increase the oxygen concentration in the room, and nitrogen-enriched air is prevented from stagnating in the vicinity of an oxygen enrichment membrane. CONSTITUTION:An oxygen concentration sensor 12 is operated to start monitoring the oxygen concentration in a room 5. When the oxygen concentration is lowered and the oxygen concentration detected by the sensor 12 reaches a value set in a controller 13, the controller 13 supplies power to a suction device 10 to start suction of the outside air 18. The outside air 18 is passed through a dust filter 14, and the air thus cleaned is passed through an oxygen enrichment membrane 8. The air flowing into a hood 6 is deprived of oxygen, and the air flowered in oxygen concentration, i.e., nitrogen-enriched air 21 is discharged to the exterior of the hood 6 through an exhaust hole 15 provided at an upper part of the hood 6. Therefore, room air temperature is little affected by this operation, which contributes to stability of the feeling of a person warming himself in the room. In addition, since the nitrogen-enriched air is prevented from stagnating in the vicinity of the oxygen enrichment from stagnating in the vicinity of the oxygen enrichment membrane, oxygen enrichment is efficiently performed.
