PURPOSE:To obtain still pictures with simple constitution, by fitting a still-picture recording medium on the capstan turning shaft of a fixed head type VTR. CONSTITUTION:A timing control circuit 10 extracts a vertical synchronizing signal from a video signal reproduced from a magnetic tape 10 and on the basis of this signal, a still-picture recording trigger signal is generated. A recording and reproducing circuit 6, on the other hand, supplies the video signal to an amplifying circuit 8 to form a still picture. On the turning shaft 2a of a capstan motor 2, a disk 11 for detecting the rotational frequency of a casptan and a recording medium 12 for recording the video signal for the formation of the still picture screen are fixed; and the disk 11 is provided with a head 11a for rotational frequency detection, and the rwcording medium 12 is provided with a recording, reproducing and erasing head 13 in contact. |
