PURPOSE:To decide whether respective receiving stations exactly received a picture signal on the transmitting station by means of the presence/absence of a response signal in a respective prescribed timing by shifting the timings of the response signal returning of the respective receiving station in the responsive type simultaneous communication mode. CONSTITUTION:In the response-confirming type simultaneous communication mode, a receiving station receives a selection signal, and commands to a facsimile control part 10 for the side mode by means of a reception mode signal Mr. The facsimile control part 10, after a prescribed delay time lapses, controls a communication control part 14 to return a CED signal and a GI signal. The delay times of the respective receiving stations are set at different values corresponding to their own terminal numbers. Accordingly, the transmitting station TX receives CED signals and GI signals of different timings from the receiving stations RX1 RXn. The facsimile control part 10 minitors the CED signals and the GI signals at the respective timings corresponding to the respective receiving stations RX1 RXn. If said signals are received, the communication states with the receiving stations are decided as normal.
