PURPOSE:To make easy the maintenance and inspection of a throttle valve, by providing a detecting mechanism for detecting that the movement of the throttle valve has become heavy on the way of a wire connecting a throttle lever with the throttle valve. CONSTITUTION:A detecting mechanism 9 for detecting that the movement of a throttle valve 4 has become heavy is provided on the way of a throttle wire 6 connecting a throttle lever 8 with the throttle valve 4. The detecting mechanism 9 includes two sliding blocks 11 and 12 in a case 10. The blocks 11 and 12 are fixed to the wire. The blocks 11 and 12 are formed at their superimposed surface with engagement projections 14 and 15 engaging with each other. Further, the contact surface between the blocks 11 and 12 is formed into an inclined surface 16. The case 10 further includes a detection switch 20 to be operated when the block 12 is displaced along the inclined surface 16. With this arrangement, the abnormality of operation of the throttle valve may be detected.
