<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the contact between cores by absorbing the fluctuation of the magnetic flux in an air gap as the current of a braking circuit and maintaining the effective magnetic flux constant. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic flux 11 passing a stator core tooth section 2a of a magnetic thrust bearing 1 via an air gap 9 by the magnetomotive force of an exciting coil 4 and that passing a rotor core tooth section 3a are interlinked. Therefore, even if the number of magnetic flux in the air gap 9 tends to be increased abruptly, the change of the magnetic flux is suppressed by the braking current in a braking circuit generated based on the change of the number of the magnetic flux, thus the effective magnetic flux in the air gap 9 is maintained almost constant. Accordingly, the magnetic suction force acting between a stator core 2 and a rotor core 3 is also maintained constant, and both cores 2, 3 can be prevented from being brought into contact with each other.</p> |
