PURPOSE:To efficiently edit and output video information by providing an input and output means for transmitting a video signal from a TV camera of a VTR to a bus and transmitting picture information processed on the bus to the VTR. CONSTITUTION:The video signal selected by a change over switch 11a is sample held through receiving circuits 12-14. The signal is digitized in an A/D converter 16 and stored in a register 18, thereafter transmitted to the bus 39 on a work station (WS). The picture signal on the bus 39 processed in the WS is fetched from a driver receiver 19, stored in a register 18b, thereafter is made analogue in a D/A converter 20. An mixer 21 mixes the analog picture signal with a horizontal and vertical synchronizing signal outputted from a control part 15 to form the video signal. A video driver 22 transfers the video signal to VTR 3 through a switch 11b.
