A method for printing documents with data which are repeated in different batch sizes, for example bank cheques with text printed on which are printed out with characters in different ways in advance by means of an offset system, followed by data, for instance for a branch office of the bank, which are repeated with the same precision in very large batches, furthermore with other data, e.g. personal data which appear in smaller batches than the first batches and which are supplemented by consecutive numbering printed on. The different prints mentioned are each applied in different operations with the exception that the data on the branch offices contained in batches of greater numbers and the personal data contained in batches of smaller numbers are printed simultaneously in a single offset printing operation.
