This slide vane rotary vacuum pump consists of a cylinder, a bush and an eccentrically mounted rotor with radially freely movable slide vane. The bush, which is pressed or glued into cylinders, serves as a running surface for slide vanes. This bush consists of a material with very good sliding properties and great wear resistance values. As a result of the improved sliding properties of the parts which are movable in relation to one another, the "energy losses" (the heat inter alia) are lower, which leads to a lower energy consumption and cheaper constructions. Constructionally, the vacuum pump can be provided with only one cylinder cover and one shaft seal.
