PURPOSE:To obtain a tap position selecting circuit which is excellent in operation by changing a tap to a target position in sequence by rotating a tap change driving motor. CONSTITUTION:Up and down tap position selecting switches S1-S4, S2-S5 are connected to fixed contacts L2-L5, R1-R4 corresponding to the tap positions (2)-(5), (1)-(4) of position switches Lp, Rp. The movable contacts RM, LM of the switches RP, LP lap the adjacent fixed contacts in their movement. Between the adjacent wires connecting the switches S1-S4, S2-S5 and the switches RP, LP, diodes D1-D6 are connected in parallel wherein an order direction is reverse against the direction for moving to a target tap. The switches RP, LP are connected to control relays RX, LX and by switching the contacts RX', LX' of the relays, an operating motor 2 is rotated normally or reversely and the tap positions (1)-(5) of a tap changer 3 are changed up and down. The changing is done automatically to a target tap.
