PURPOSE:To remarkably improve an MTF value at both frequencies of GL and RL by using planar particles having >=5 aspect ratio to at least one layer of an emulsion layer substantially having photosensitivity and specifying the (d) value of the emulsion film thickness to <=16mu. CONSTITUTION:This photosensitive material has >=1 layers of the red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer and blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer contg. one kind of dye image forming compd. on a base, and >=50% of the silver halide particles contained in one emulsion layer with respect to the total projection area thereof is occupied by the planar silver halide particles having <0.5mum thickness, at least 0.6mum diameter and >=5 average aspect ratio. The thickness of the emulsion layers including down to the photosensitive layer nearest the base is specified to <=16mum. The thickness of the emulsion films is preferably 14mum, more preferably <=12mum. Silver may be incorporated at 0.1-12g/m<2> coating weight into the emulsion layer forming the emulsion film thickness. |
