PURPOSE:To minimize a device by sequentially and repeatedly making light beams from three light sources incident on an optical shutter, putting pressure to a recording medium which is exposed by the permeable light of the optical shutter, and developing the media. CONSTITUTION:The recording medium 11 has three different photosensitive wavelengths. After it is exposed, it is developed by pressure and emits the colors of different hues in accordance with respective wavelengths. Three sources 12, 13 and 14 are provided which emit the light beams of respective wavelengths corresponding to the three photosensitive wavelengths of the recording medium 11. One optical shutter 15 is provided which can change its light transmittance in accordance with an electrical signal. Light beams from the light sources 12, 13 and 14 are sequentially made incident and the permeable light beams are made incident on the recording medium 11, which is exposed. Thus, the recording medium 11 is confronted with an optical head and passed through, thereby executing a color recording.
