In continuous strutting for support frames having a channel section, which strutting ensures continuous connection while completely absorbing compression and tension, the further spacer strut required for the advance heading can be assembled with only a single nut without partly releasing the previous spacer strut. To further simplify the assembly without weakening in the buckling-stress range and in an adjusting mechanism lying in the millimetre range, provision is made for the straight leg (8) of the spacer strut (1') to be placed in front to be provided with an end (16) projecting beyond the supported channel section (2), the aperture provided for the hook bolts (6) being designed as an elongated hole (17), and the end of the leg being provided on both sides with profiling (19), and the nut (14) being provided with a profiled washer (18) (Fig. 1). <IMAGE>
