PURPOSE:To obtain castings having good quality resulting from good running of molten metal and eliminating any porosity defects, etc., by reducing runner part area at the initial stage of pouring and increasing the runner part area in pressure casting using the die having variation for the casting thickness. CONSTITUTION:In case of the pressure casting by pushing up a casting tip 5 in the die 1, in which the casting thickness has variation, such as thin part 3-1, gap of the runner part 4 is reduced at the initial stage by a runner adjusting device 2 and the molten metal is run at high speed to the end part of a cavity, to prevent from misrunning. At the time of finish of pouring, the runner part 4 is increased ans the pouring flow is made to slow speed to prevent from development of the porosity in the thick part. Therefore, the casting 3 having good quality without any porosity defects is obtd.
