THERMAL INK JET TYPE PRINTING HEAD

PURPOSE:To prolong the life of a printing head by reducing the damage of a heat generator, by integrally forming a nozzle part and an ink holding part and mounting the heat generator on the expanded part positioned between both parts. CONSTITUTION:An ink holding part 11 is directly connected to a heating element 15 and present in a substrate 10 to hold and supply ink. The resistor layer 15 of a heat generating means allows the ink to evaporate and the formed gaseous ink moves to a nozzle part 17. A nozzle 19 guides the ink by the accumulated pressure of the gaseous ink. A heat insulating layer 21 prevents heat from flowing to a cantilevered beam (expanded part) 12 or a substrate 40. By this combination, the heat from the resistor layer 15 heats the ink and is prevented from wastefully dissipating in a printing head 20. A protective layer 25 protects the chemical and mechanical damage of each layer. Bubbles collapsed in the printing head 20 collide with the ink replenished and the ink almost absorbs cavitation force and the residual cavitation is absorbed by the cantilevered beam 12.
