PURPOSE:To improve particularly moisture resistance, continuous repetitive use characteristic, electrical breakdown strength characteristic, use environment characteristic, durability, etc. by providing a surface protective layer constituted of a non-single crystalline material contg. boron nitride having 4-coordinate structure and boron nitride having 3-coordinate structure in combination. CONSTITUTION:This member consists of a base 101 and a light receiving layer having at least a photoconductive layer 102 constituted of an amorphous material essentially consisting of a silicon atom and contg. at least either of a hydrogen atom or halogen atom and the surface protective layer 103 on the base. The surface protective layer 103 is constituted of the non-single crystalline material contg. the boron nitride having the 4-coordinate structure and the boron nitride having the 3-coordinate structure in combination. The light receiving member which has always stable electrostatic chargeability, forms the image having excellent quality for a long period of time and is used for an electrophotographic sensitive body, etc. is thus obtd. |
