PURPOSE:To prevent incomplete combustion and back fire by detecting and controlling the state of combustion in the whole primary combustion burner which is a main burner by a pilot burner which burns a pre-mixing gas in which the fuel content is high and a frame rod. CONSTITUTION:The combustion air is divided. A carburetor chamber 4 which forms a mixture of one of the divided combustion air and a vaporized fuel in which the fuel content is high, a mixing chamber 10 which mixes the other of the divided combustion air and the fuel thick mixture gas from the carburetor chamber and sends the mixture to a burner head 8, a pilot burner 30 which burns the pre-mixing gas form a pre-mixing gas take-out opening 31 opening in a mixture gas passage 28 from the carburetor chamber to the mixing chamber, and a detection means 23 which detects the state of combustion in the pilot burner are provided. As a result uniform premxing gas is supplied to the pilot burner and it becomes easy to detect the excessive air ratio in a main burner by the excessive air ratio in the pilot burner, and it is possible to prevent abnormal combustion such as incomplete combustion in the main burner, back-fire, flame failure by lifting, or others. A flame rod 23 is inserted into the pilot burner flame and ion current obtained by applying a voltage to the rod is capable of detecting abnormal combustion and stop it.
