PURPOSE:To attain the secrecy protection of an optional part of a document, etc. by dividing the produced document into blocks by the contents of those documents and adding passwords having editing or display inhibiting functions to those blocks. CONSTITUTION:The prescribed documents and the passwords of each text of those documents are written on a disk 5 and each text forms a single block. When a user operates a keyboard 1 to indicate the display (editing) of a document stored in a document text buffer 4, a CPU 2 reads successively block information on a block information table buffer 6. Then it is checked whether a display (editing)-unable password is added or not to each block together with decision for coincidence or dissidence with the password stored in the CPU 2. When no coincidence with the password is obtained, a display (editing)- unable password is decided. The display (editing) is allowed for the blocks having no password. Then the display (editing) is allowed when the coincidence with the password of an internal memory of the CPU 2 is obtained. |
