GATHERING FETCH PROCESSING SYSTEM

摘要

PURPOSE:To decrease the total time needed for the retrieval of a data base by transferring the data on plural records to a user program just with a single cell when the data base is retrieved out of the user program. CONSTITUTION:A data base management system DBMS is controlled and performs the analysis of the call parameter via a cell analyzing part 3. Thus a data base access processing part 4 is called out in a fetch call mode. The part 4 retrieves records and stores the data needed for a user program 6 in a transfer buffer 11 via a data base 10 by an amount equivalent to the number of designated records. Then a data transfer processing part 2 transfers data to a data receiving area 13 at the user program side via a common service area 12. In such a way, the data equivalent to plural records are transferred to the program 6 just with a single call. As a result, the DBMS calling frequency of the program 6 is decreased and therefore the total time needed for the retrieval of the data base 10 is shortened.
