PURPOSE:To apply damping to the descending motion of a holder with simple constitution by utilizing the slide of the holder in a direction opposite to the cassette loading direction and damping the projection motion of a contact part. CONSTITUTION:In follow-up to the sliding of the holder 5 in a direction opposite to the direction A, the contact part 15 fitted to a lower plate 5b of the holder 5 starts sliding in a direction opposite to the direction A, and when a leg 16 of the holder 5 comes almost on the way of a slope 4b, the leg starts projecting from the cassette 6, the contact part 15 comes into contact with a finger tip loading the cassette 6 to depress the finger tip gradually in a direction opposite to the direction A. Thus, the sliding of the holder 5 in a direction opposite to the direction A is damped and the descending motion of a magnetic head carriage 11 at the moving side descending in interlocking with the sliding of the holder 5 in a direction opposite to the direction A is damped.
