PURPOSE:To prevent the electrical coupling of the horizontal deflection system and the vertical deflection system and obtain a static deflection-type cathode-ray tube with no interference trouble, by providing covers made of conductive members, insulated from the lead conductors to the static deflection electrodes arranged on the fluorescent screen side, and the covers are made equipotential with the electrodes other than static deflection electrodes. CONSTITUTION:Lead conductors 21 to horizontal deflection electrodes 5 are shielded by static shielding parts 22 in the vicinity of vertical deflection electrodes 6. These static shielding parts 22 are composed of insulator sleeves 23 made of ceramic or glass, which are equal to or a little longer than than the vertical deflection electrodes 6. These sleeves are covered by metallic sleeves of the same length or provided with a conductive coating to form the conductive members 24 which are to be connected with other d-c driven electrodes. Hence, static capacitance between the horizontal deflection electrodes 5 and the vertical deflection electrodes 6 can be much decreased.
