摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To conveniently and efficiently recover Rh from a recovered material by introducing gaseous Cl2 while heating the recovered material contg. Rh and the oxide of the base material in the presence of CO or carbon to convert the oxide of the base metal into the chloride, and evaporating and separating the chloride. CONSTITUTION:The recovered material from a catalyst obtained by depositing Rh or Rh oxide on the oxide of the base metal auch as Al2O3 is mixed with carbon, and the mixture 1 is charged in a chloride forming vessel 3 and heated at 400-1,200 deg.C by an electric furnace 4. Gaseous Cl2 or a gaseous mixture of Cl2 and CO is simultaneously introduced from an inlet pipe 5 through a glass-fiber bottom plate 2 of the vessel 3 to convert the Rh, Rh oxide, and the oxide of the base metal into the chlorides. When the heating tamp. is controlled to a temp. higher than the b.p or sublimation temp. of the chloride of the base metal and the dissociation temp. of Rh chloride, th chloride of the base metal is evaporated, separated, and collected in a chloride trap 7 through an evaporation duct 6, the Rh chloride is dissociated, and metallic Rh is obtained. When the heating temp. is controlled to a temp. lower than the dissociation temp., the evaporated Rh chloride is heated by a heater 8 and dissociated, and metallic Rh is recovered.</p>
