PURPOSE:To control assist force according to acceleration and deceleration in an automobile, by installing a compensating device which compensates an impressed current value for a solenoid of a solenoid valve controlling the assist force as a current value setting device inputs the accelerating value detected by an acceleration detecting device. CONSTITUTION:A current value setting device 2 inputs the information value detected by an information detecting device 1, setting the impressed current value, and impresses this value on each solenoid of both solenoid valves 20 and 30. With this impression, assist force of a power steering 10 is controlled whereby the manual steering torque conformed to running states of a car speed, a steering angle or the like is made so as to be securable. In addition, since a compensating device 4 compensates the impressed current value set by the current value setting device 2 according to the acceleration value detected by an acceleration detecting device 3, the assist force of the power steering 10 is controlled according to acceleration and deceleration states. Therefore, corresponding to a variation in front-wheel load due to acceleration and deceleration and a psychological state of tension, proper manual steering torque can be secured. |
