PURPOSE:To output the second sound signal only, by recording mixed signals of the second sound signal and the polarity-inverted signal of the first sound signal of the first recording area in the second recording area and outputting the mixed signals by mixing them with the first sound signal at the time of reproduction. CONSTITUTION:After amplification 2 of reproduced signals of a video recording area are supplied to a BPF 3 so as to remove video signal components, and then, FM-demodulated as FM sound signals. The demodulated FM sound signals S'1 are inputted to a mixer 13 after delaying 12. Signals S'4 reproduced from a PCM recording area are also inputted to the mixer 13 and the component of the polarity-inverted signals S2 of the FM sound signals S1 contained in the signals S'4 and the component of signals S1 compensate each other. Thus only post-recording signal components S'3 can be outputted.
