PURPOSE:To improve starting characteristics, by a method wherein, in sequential injection, injectors are simultaneously driven only initial one time during starting. CONSTITUTION:An injector 14 is mounted to each of the cylinders of an engine 1, and is driven one time per one suction of each cylinder. In which case, in a microcomputer 40, during the primary stage of the starting in that a starting switch 19 is brought into an ON-state, driving time data is decided from water temperature data detected by a water temperature sensor 18, and all the injectors 14 are simultaneously driven at its pulse width. Thereafter, each injector 14 is driven until a cylinder discriminating signal indicating that reference cylinder is detected by means of a crank angle sensor 17 is inputted, and on and after inputting of the cylinder discriminating signal, the injectors 14 are orderly sequentially driven. This constitution enables the smooth feed of fuel beginning with the starting, and permits improvement of starting characteristics.
