PURPOSE:To automate a work of loading small stator iron plates and to provide high efficiency equal to that of a work of loading large stator iron plates, by a method wherein a robot hand having a pair of adsorbing holding means adsorbs and holds two small stator iron plates, and the plates are individually released in a loading position from adsorption. CONSTITUTION:A robot hand 11 for loading iron cores simultaneously adsorbs and holds two small stator iron plates 6a and 6b by means of an instruction from an iron core loading device, and a turn table is rotated counterclockwise in a state in that it is inclined circumferentially and is pressed against dovetail keys 4a and 4b. When the dovetail key 4a is engaged with a dovetail key groove 8a, vibration is detected by a sensor 13a. When the detecting signal is inputted as an engagement success signal to a control device for iron plate loading device, the control device shuts off vacuum of an adsorbing pad 9a of the hand 11, and the pad is communicated with the open air, and the stator iron plate 6a is released. The subsequent stator iron plate 6b is collided with the preceding iron plate through a spacer 14, vibration is detected by a sensor 13b, the stator iron plate 6b is released, and the two small stators can be loaded in the same loading time as that of one large stator iron plate.
