PURPOSE:To prevent dielectric breakdown in a surge voltage applying state, by a method wherein dielectrics are installed between coils of armature winding group connected to the power source supply line side. CONSTITUTION:Armature winding groups 1-4 of first pole-fourth pole are connected in series to each other in sequence, and one lead wire of the armature winding group 1 of the first pole is connected to a power source terminal U and lead wire of the armature winding group 4 of the fourth pole is connected to the neutral point N. In the armature winding group 1, an insulation paper 12 as dielectrics is inserted between a number of coils 8 at coil side portion of a winding 7 and the insulation constitution is made different from other winding groups 2-4. In this constitution, allotment rate of the armature winding group 1 to surge voltage is improved, and allotment voltage applied between coils 8 of the armature winding group 1 can be reduced.
