PURPOSE:To prevent a decrease in the desalination efficiency and to automatically flush a reverse-osmosis membrane module by carrying out a combination of flushing by raw water and flushing by treated fresh water with a flush control means at specified intervals of time. CONSTITUTION:When the reverse-osmosis membrane module 15 is flushed in the reverse-osmosis desalination device, a signal is sent to a valve device control circuit from the central processing unit through an input/output control circuit, a valve S3 is opened, and the pressure on the osmosis membrane of the module 15 is turned off. Most of the water supplied to the module 15 flows on the surface of the osmosis membrane, and is discharged from the discharge port for concentrated water. Accordingly, the deposit such as salts on the osmosis membrane is removed. Such flushing only by seawater and flushing by desalinated water are appropriately combined and performed periodically. For example, flushing by seawater is performed every day, and flushing by treated water is carried out once a week.
