发明名称 LAMINATED COMBUSTION SYSTEM ENGINE
摘要 PURPOSE:To provide stable laminated combustion by forming two kinds of air layers having different flow characteristics to each other in a combustion chamber and supplying EGR gas to one air layer to raise the temperature of the other air layer and supply fuel to the air layer having the raised temperature. CONSTITUTION:In the normal running of an engine, a main intake controlling valve 21 is fully opened, while a sub-intake controlling valve 22 and an EGR valve 19 are respectively controllably opened and closed. And when the engine is in the low load running region for example, both sub-intake controlling valve 22 and EGR valve 19 are opened so that mixture of air and EGR gas from a main intake path 11 and only air from a sub-intake path 12 are respectively supplied to a combustion chamber 3. Thus, two kinds of air layers having different flow characteristics to each other are formed to maintain satisfactorily the separated condition, i.e. laminated condition of two kinds of air layers. Thereafter, fuel is injected toward the second air layer from an injector 8 to form a satisfactory mixture.
