PURPOSE:To accomplish the titled two-coat-1-baking coating suitable for automobile use with high weatherability, by combining each specific two kinds of resin compositions as curable resin components for base coat coating and top coat clear coating, respectively, to perform application. CONSTITUTION:The objective coating can be accomplished by combining (A) a resin composition prepared by blending (i) a vinyl copolymer from a) 1-100wt% of a vinyl monomer having in one molecule both polymerizable unsaturated group and at least one siloxyl group and b) 99-0wt% of a second vinyl monomer copolymerizable therewith, (ii) a polyisocyanate reactive with the hydroxyl group formed from the components a and b, and (iii) a dissociation- promoting catalyst and (B) a second resin composition comprising (iv) a vinyl polymer polyol or polyester polyol and (v) a polyisocyanate as curable resin components for (C) base coat coating incorporated with metallic powder and coloring pigment and (D) clear coating to be coated thereon, respectively, to perform application in two-coat-1-baking system.
