The invention relates to a screening apparatus for sewage treatment works, containing a screen (1), which is arranged in a stationary manner and comprises a plurality of spaced-apart bars (3, 4), and a fork (2) which, in contrast, is arranged movably and likewise comprises bars (8, 9). In order to prevent the formation of ice on the bars in winters, the invention proposes that the screen (1) and/or the fork (2) be provided with an electric resistance-heating device. The resistance-heating device can advantageously be integrated into the bars (3, 4; 8, 9) and be formed by utilising the specific resistance of the bars (3, 4; 8, 9). <IMAGE>
