PURPOSE:A curable composition, obtained by blending an organic high polymer with a specific aluminum compound based curing agent, having improved anticorrosiveness of metallic plates and suitable as anticorrosive coating materials for metallic cans, building materials, etc. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. organic high polymer, e.g. epoxy resin, etc., having reactive functional groups, e.g. epoxy groups, etc., linked to carbon atoms is blended with 10-200pts.wt. aluminum compound based curing agent, obtained by hydrolyzing and condensing an aluminum chelate expressed by formula I (R is 1-8C alkyl; L is a compound capable of forming the chelate with aluminum atoms; n is 0, 1 or 2) or hydrolyzing and condensing an organoaluminum compound expressed by formula II (Y1-Y3 are R, OR, etc.) and having repeating units expressed by formula III (X is organic bond residue).
