RECORDING MEDIUM CONTACTING MECHANISM FOR IMAGE FIXING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To perform development at necessary development temperature for a necessary development time and to eliminate an irregularity in development by bringing a recording medium into contact with a developing drum with constant tension and varying the contacting range between the developing drum and recording medium. CONSTITUTION:The recording medium 1 which contacts a platen 6 is irradiated with laser light 15 to write specific information and a holding roller 21 is made 10% slower in speed than a holding roller 22 to bring a film 1 which slacks to the developing drum 10 firstly. The film 1 is developed by the developing drum with constant tension while sliding in the roller 21. Further, the film is moved back and forth by a pinch roller 23 perpendicular to the longitudinal direction and then the angle of the film to the drum 10 can be varied, so even when the conveying speed is constant, the contacting range of contacting with the developing drum is varied to freely adjust the development time. For the purpose, the development temperature and development time of the developing drum are controlled to eliminate the irregularity in development.
