PURPOSE:To provide an adhesive compsn. for automobile not only capable of bonding together the structural members of an automobile but also having an effect of decreasing vibration and noise, which comprises an epoxy resin and a diene polymer having a particular MW range and having a star branched structure. CONSTITUTION:A diene polymer having a wt. average MW (in terms of polystyrene) of 1,000-700,000 and having a star branched structure is compounded with an epoxy resin. Examples of the diene polymers include a homopolymer of a conjugated diene monomer and a copolymer of a conjugated diene monomer and a copolymerizable monomer such as an arom. vinyl compd., etc. The number of branches in the star branched structure of the diene polymer is generally 3-6. However, the greater the number, the better. Examples of the conjugated diene monomers include butadiene and isoprene. Examples of the arom. vinyl compds. include styrene and alpha-methylstyrene. It is pref. that 0.5-50pts.wt. of the diene polymer be compounded with 100pts.wt. epoxy resin.
