<p>PURPOSE:To strengthen the adhesive force between a glass plate and an edging member by bonding an endless foamed plastic edging member having a holding groove for a window glass plate, to the peripheral edge of said glass plate via a hot melt adhesive layer. CONSTITUTION:The captioned window device 3 for closing the opening part of the body of an automobile is formed by bonding an endless foamed plastic edging member 7 to the peripheral edge of a window glass plate 4 via a hot melt adhesive layer 5. The edging member 7 has a sectional form having a holding groove 6 for the glass plate 4. When manufacturing such a window device 3, first, an extruded primary-molding edging member main body is cooled and, then, cut to a required length and, after its holding groove 6 is continuously coated with a hot melt adhesive, the peripheral edge part of the glass plate 4 is fitted into the holding groove 6. Then, the assembly is put in a silicone mold and subjected to high frequency molding, and cooled.</p> |
