PURPOSE:To uniformize the coating amount of a sealant, by controlling the coating amount of the sealant from an applicator relatively moving with respect to an object to be coated corresponding to the relative moving speed with respect to the object to be coated. CONSTITUTION:A robot controller 21 controls a robot 20 to relatively move a gun 15 with respect to an object to be coated and also outputs a control signal showing the relative moving speed of the gun 15 with respect to the object to be coated to a motor controller 19. The motor controller 19 controls a servo motor 18 corresponding to the input control signal so that the number of rotations of the servo motor 18 are kept to the characteristic proportional to the relative moving speed of the gun 15. Therefore, the emitting amount of a sealant from a gear pump 12, that is, the emitting amount of the sealant from the gun 15 changes proportionally corresponding to the relative moving speed of the gun 15 and uniform coating is also applied to the part bending frequently in the panel and the like, demarcating an engine room.
