PURPOSE:To perform a bending test in a small radius of curvature, by alternately and continuously applying bending durable up to the max. of 180 deg. to a test piece respectively in both directions within a definite radius of curvature. CONSTITUTION:A test piece 22 is fixed in a state held between both grasping members 16, 18 of a test piece fixing frame 15 and a wt. 23 is attached to the free end side of the test piece 22 to preliminarily bend the test piece 22. Next, when a motor is driven to rotate a disc by 180 deg., a main shaft 13 rotates by 360 deg. and the frame 15 rotates by 360 deg. to the direction shown by an arrow 25. If the motor is driven succeedingly to rotate the disc to the same direction, the main shaft 13 rotates by 360 deg. to the direction opposite to the previous direction and the frame 15 rotates by 360 deg. to the direction opposite to the previous direction. As mentioned above, because the frame 15 rotates by 360 deg. positively and reversely each time when the disc makes one revolution, bending up to 180 deg. is alternately and continuously applied to the test piece 22 respectively in both directions within a definite radius of curvature.
