PURPOSE:To reduce wire cost by using a single motor for driving both payoff and takeup traverse rolls, selecting payoff and takeup automatically, thereby simplifying mechanism and controls, and enabling effective cutting with short wire even for a large-sized work to be cut. CONSTITUTION:Payoff part and takeup part of a wire 27 are installed adjacently, and two traverse rolls 5, 6 are driven by a single motor 9, and hooking/ unhooking of wire 27 is automated, wherein payoff and takeup are switched over automatically. Accordingly the mechanism and control of traverse can be simplified to enable switching of payoff and takeup for a short time, and the requisite wire length can be shortened greatly. Therefore, efficient cutting can be made by performing one-way running with a short wire by a plurality of reversals even though the work has a large size, and discontinuity is reduced and the wire cost be suppressed. |
