PURPOSE:To enable paper to be strained vertically and horizontally by attaching a suction head to the piston rod of an air cylinder provided in a drum peripheral part with the axial direction of the cylinder inclined with the circumferential direction of a double diameter drum and an air passage of the suction head opened into a rod and chamber through the shaft core of the piston rod. CONSTITUTION:Each suction 38 head is attached to the piston rod 36 of each of air cylinders 33 provided on a drum peripheral part with the axial direction of the air cylinders inclined in the circumferential direction of a double diameter drum 12. The rod end chamber 40 of each air cylinder 33 is connected to an air source through a rotary valve on the drum end. Then an air passage 38a of the suction head 38 is opened into the rod end chamber 40 through the shaft core of the piston rod 36. Thus paper caught by the claw 17 or 18 of the double diameter drum 12 for conveyance is sucked by the suction head 38 until the paper is transferred to the claw 33 of a reversing drum 13 halfway during conveyance, and the suction head 38 moves obliquely under air pressure. This results in the straining of paper in both vertical and horizontal directions so that the paper allows the claw to catch the correct part of the former. |
